1. Mortgage Loan Manager

Job Description:

Recruit and manage loan officers, ensuring loan applications originate and are funded in compliance with industry regulations. Includes hiring, training, setting goals, and ensuring compliance with state, federal, insurer, and investor regulations. Work to improve sales techniques and maintain relationships with realtors and other professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Recruit, hire, train, and motivate staff. Supervise and lead a team of loan officers, providing guidance, and structuring the loan to ensure the client obtains the most suitable loan product.
  2. Coach MLOs to improve sales techniques and meet goals.
  3. Set daily, monthly, quarterly, and yearly goals for the team.
  4. Ensure staff adheres to regulations, guidelines, and RESPA requirements.
  5. Monitor real estate market trends and changes to mortgages.
  6. Maintain relationships with realtors, attorneys, and other professionals.
  7. Resolve customer service issues in a professional manner.
  8. Create a process to forecast funding goals and metrics.
  9. Maintain a positive work environment by developing relationships with other team stakeholders.
  10. Review loan applications and ensure all necessary documentation is obtained from borrowers.
  11. Evaluate applicants' financial status and creditworthiness to determine eligibility for mortgage loans.
  12. Coordinate with underwriters and other internal teams to facilitate the loan approval process.
  13. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines.
  14. Work closely with clients to provide guidance and support throughout the mortgage application process.
  15. Monitor loan pipelines and ensure timely completion of loan transactions.
  16. Analyze market trends and recommend changes to loan products and processes to remain competitive.
  17. Develop and maintain relationships with real estate agents, builders, and other industry professionals to generate business opportunities.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience in Mortgage Loan origination.
  2. Previous experience in mortgage lending or related fields.
  3. Strong knowledge of mortgage products, regulations, and guidelines.
  4. Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  5. Detail-oriented and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  6. Proficient in using loan origination software and other related tools.
  7. NMLS license is required. Currently operating in VA, MD, DC, or NC.

Job Description:

Assist mortgage loan officers in providing excellent customer service and assisting in all areas of origination. Ensuring that are stakeholders are updated and smooth. 

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assisting the loan officer in preparing the mortgage loan applications.
  2. Communicating with clients to gather necessary documents and information.
  3. Coordinating with the buyer and all parties involved in the loan process from start to finish.
  4. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date loan files and documentation.
  5. Provide excellent customer service and answer any questions they may have.
  6. Assisting in scheduling appointments and managing the loan officer's calendar.
  7. Conducting research and data analysis to support loan decision-making.
  8. Assisting with marketing and lead generation activities to attract new clients.
  9. Staying up-to-date on industry regulations and guidelines.
  10. Performing other tasks as needed to support the loan officer in closing loans efficiently and effectively.
